How cute is this card?! And those stamps? Love them! Thanks so much Kathy!
Tomorrow I have another Billy card for you. This Billy stamp I haven't used yet, so it was fun to ink him up!

Also today is my dad's birthday! Happy Birthday Dad! Actually he doesn't read this, so I will call him(yes I know I'm a dork)!

Another Changito, a game, and a RAK...

Here is the same Changito Pool Guy stamp from the other day, but I used different colors this time-

I love how just changing up the colors of a card can make it look so different! The paper is Scenic Route again. The ribbon came from Target in the Dollar Spot a couple months ago. I love the Dollar Spot, don't you?! There is always something fun that I have to have there!

So, how about a fun guessing game?
This week 4 of my posts(including this one), have been cards with images colored in. But what have I been using to color them in? Everyone who guesses correctly will be entered into a drawing for a little treat. The winner will get some Heidi Swapp bling in pink and clear, 5 yds of chocolate grosgrain, and a package of Pebbles Inc. I kan dee charms.
The catch is you have to guess TODAY (7/18/08) in order to be eligible. Sorry, not a lot of time! **ETA- Closed! Thanks for your guesses!**

And now for my RAK! My awesome Summer Sis sent me this super cool card. I'm gonna make you go check it out on her blog though, because she has some great stuff there. So go leave her some love! :)

Thanks for stopping by! I'll pick the Dani Candy winner and announce it with tomorrows card! Good luck!

A RAK-ey kind of post

How cute is this card?! Lorie sent it to me with some adorable clear stamps for participating in her Sheetload challenge. I have to say, her SheetLoad card looks way better than my attempt! LOL!

Thank you so much Lorie! I love it!

Now for the Kids Summer RAK signup-

Here's what I am thinking- We will go in a rotation, once a week you will RAK someone different. For example, week 1- I would RAK Deb's kids; week 2- Lorie; week 3- Courtney, etc, etc... That way the kids get stuff from all over. Make sense? And I will keep track of all the info and send out email reminders with the info for the family you are RAK'ing. Now if that works for everyone, fill out your info and get it to me by Monday July 7. Then we will start at the end of that week. Let me know if you have any questions, concerns or suggestions! Remember- we are going for small here! Just a postcard or "hello" type card. I want this to be economical so it is not pricey for anyone. Especially since I would like to do once a week. If this is too much, please let me know!

Copy and paste this, fill it out and email it to me if you are interested in participating.
Your Name-
Child(children) Name(first and last) and age-
Your Email address-
Address to send RAK-
Child(children) favorite colors-
Anything special to know about child-
Anything we should know about you-
Who's the best blogger ever(this is where you put me!)-

Alright, you don't really have to answer that last question!
Thanks guys, I think this will be fun!

For Carli

Courtney's little cousin Carli is in need of some extra TLC. This is the card we sent to her along with a small goodie package.

Hopefully it will brighten her day! And what little girl doesn't love unicorns and rainbows? I think this paper is so adorable, it's from the Berry Sweet collection by K&Co. The colors are so fun and cheerful. Not sure how much use it will get in my House-O-Boys, but I still had to have it! :) Have a great day, go do something special for someone who needs it!

Thinking about kids...

and how boring Summer can get for them. Today Owen received a postcard from my MIL. He was so excited. And it got me thinking. What about doing a Summer Swap for kids? Nothing big, just a card or postcard. Something small in the mailbox for kidlets to get excited for. What do you think? Anyone interested? Let me know....... I'll post the sign up details if there is any interest.
Thanks!

It's a Bella!

I got a bunch of Bella images from Courtney. She was so nice to stamp them for me. Plus she also sent me some other goodies! Thanks girl, you're the bestest!

So, here is Curly Supriseabella. I seriously love the crazy curly hair! I wanted the ribbon on the card to look like the ribbon on a gift. Not sure if I achieved that, but I like it.

I think that about covers it, not much going on lately. Just trying to keep the boys from being too bored. Otherwise they just torment each other! I really need to figure out some summer boredom busters!

Have a great day everyone!

Spring, Spring, Spring...

Just when you think it's here, it's not. 70 degrees yesterday, 80 today, tomorrow.... 40's! Arg. I want Spring! I'm ready to stomp my feet and yell! Ok, maybe not. Instead here is a springy card to look at. I wonder if I can help Mother Nature along by making only Spring/Summer, bright and cheerful cards...

Now look what Courtney sent me! She's too good to me. I've been pretty spoiled in the last week!

Now I'm off to hurry and pick up the living room before my friend brings her boy over to play with Owen. They have a tendency to get into mischief (who? Owen? No..) when they are together. So it's best to pick up and preschool-proof my house beforehand!

dudette(?) and a RAK

This week I went to a NSLSS(Not So Local Scrapbook Store) and guess what they had?

My penguin girl! I didn't get it when I got the boy and have been mad at myself ever since. Well, here she is! Now my cute lil' guy has someone to hang out with on his iceberg!

And here is an adorable RAK from my good bloggy-buddy Courtney-

How funny is it that I got a RAK from her the same day I mail out her blog candy? I promise my drawing wasn't rigged! LOL! Thanks Courtney! I love it! I feel absolutely blessed by the friends I have made blogging. I better run. We are working in the yard today. It snowed again yesterday and today it is 60 degrees outside! CRAZY!

Winner!

I actually entered everyone in, regardless of where you lived. I honestly didn't think anyone read my blog! You all are too sweet! I entered the numbers into the random number thing-

Random Integer Generator

Here are your random numbers:

Courtney, that's you my dear! I'll get your goodies in the mail!

Thank you everyone for all your suggestions and kind words! I am feeling quite a bit better. And I took a lot of your advice- I cried, I ate, I shopped, I slept, I played on the computer, I went on a housework strike and I prayed.

You guys sure know how to make a girl feel better!

Blog Candy!

Yep. That's right. Blog candy. Why? Because I am in a foul mood. That's why. It's only Tuesday and yet it has been an awful week so far. Actually an awful year, but that's another story. So I figure what better way to make me happy than to do something nice for someone else. Of course I'm going to be a little selfish and make you work for it though.

So what do you have to do to win the blog candy? Leave me a comment and tell me what you do to make yourself feel better when you are in a bad mood. This will stay open until Thursday at 11:59 pm. I will choose a name Friday morning. Sound good? Alrighty then.

Here's the goods-

1 set Inkadinkado Birthday Cupcake stamp set
Assortment of Bazzill Bitty Blossoms
2 yards of "Thank You" printed twill

I'm going to say only those in the US may enter. Because frankly, I'm pretty sure no one outside the US reads my blog. And I think there are like 3 of you in the US that read my blog. So, if you are not in the US and you read my blog, let me know. I might pick you anyway!

Any questions?

Cards for H.A.N.D.S.

HANDS (Hope After Neonatal Death through Sharing) is a support group for parents who have suffered the death of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death or SIDS death.

I learned of this organization from a thread at SCS. It is such a worthwhile and needed organization. Here are a few of the cards I am sending.

Here is a thank you copied and pasted from the thread thanking those that had already sent cards-

I send cards to bereaved families on the anniversary of their baby's death and at other difficult times through out the year to let the parents know that their child is loved and remembered. The bereaved parents who receive these cards are always touched by the kindness of others who donated their time and talent to make these items. Most of the time, these cards are kept for a life time, since there are so few things that are meant to honor and remember the babies who have died.
May God bless each and every one of you!
Ann Critelli, RN
PERINATAL BEREAVEMENT COORDINATOR

That is what I have been working on the last few days. Sending them off tomorrow.
Still haven't made it to the grocery store. Maybe later! :) Or sooner, the boys are fighting over the last orange in the fridge. Forget that we have bananas, grapes, cereal, a million other snacks. They both want the same stinkin' orange!

Pay It Forward and Good Eats

Pay It Forward-

Jenn did a little "Pay It Forward" project on her blog, and of course I volunteered. What are sisters for? Now it is my turn, and your turn. If you want to play, leave me a comment on this post or email me (link over there ------->) and I will get a surprise out to you. In return you agree to do something for 3 people of your choosing. Doesn't have to be craft related. Doesn't have to be something big. Just agree to do something nice, make someone smile. Sound good? Let's play!

Now for the Good Eats-

If you are Lesa, close your eyes now and scroll to the bottom of this page...

Everyone else, read on...

So, tomorrow is Thanksgiving. And Owens birthday(3!). November 12th was Lesa and Bensons birthdays. So while we celebrate Thanksgiving at Jenn's we will also be having the "November Birthday Extravaganza!"
Yay!
Well, since I like to procrastinate, I am just now making Lesa's gift. Here it is:
A recipe binder titled- Good Eats (click for bigger pics)
Here is the spine and front cover. I used an American Crafts 6x6 D-ring binder and covered it with Autumn Leaves paper that I picked up at Target. Making Memories rub-ons for the title.

Here is the title page-

Here is what the section headers look like...
I used my McGill file tab punch to make the tabs on top of the sections.

And here is what the recipe pages look like...
I built them in Photoshop. There is one recipe and 5 blank cards in each section (appetizers & beverages; breads; desserts; main dishes; side dishes) so Lesa can add her own it.

It was pretty easy once I got going.

And there you have it. Pay It Forward and Good Eats.
Happy Thanksgiving all.
Off to start on my food assignment!

November RAK sent!

I participated in Courtney's November RAK Club this month. Here is the card I made to send to my partner. Along with some other goodies, but that will be a surprise. Since it's November I thought a thankful card was in order. With yummy fall colors. I love fall. Love it!

It has been crazy busy at our house and this is the only thing I have made since the Halloween treat for Adam's teacher. Hopefully this week will bring more free time!
