Forward

Here it is, already the first week of February and I'm just now picking a word. Nothing was feeling right to me. Then while browsing on Pinterest I found it.

This year I want to focus on moving forward. Last year was a really hard year. Really hard. Some days I feel like life is always going to be hard. Maybe it is, I don't know. But I do know I have to choose to keep moving forward. I cannot change the things that have already happened but I can choose to accept those things, learn from them and use them to benefit my life.

One Little Word 2011

It's that time again. Time to say goodbye to last year and say hello to a new start. And time to participate in Ali Edwards One Little Word project. This year I've chosen the word intentional.



Why intentional? Sometimes I feel like I live my life by sitting back and letting it happen. I don't want that kind of life. I want to live a life full of meaning. A life with purpose. At times I get a feeling that I should call someone or sit down and write a note. Usually I brush that aside and move on- good intentions, no actions. I want to follow those feelings. To follow up on those good intentions. I want to figure out why I can spend an hour on Facebook with no problem but will put off doing laundry until we are all out of clothes. I want to know the thoughts and feelings behind my actions. I want to live a more intentional life. Care to join me?

One Little Word- 2010

This year I've chosen the word "simple" for my AE One Little Word project.

1. not involved or complicated; easy to understand or do

2. plain; unadorned

3. consisting of one element or part only; not combined or complex

4. unaffected or unpretentious

5. not guileful; sincere; frank

This year I want to work on making things simple in my life. Simple meals without additives, excess sugar, etc. Simple projects that won't stress me out. Taking time to enjoy the simple, joyful activities around me. The list goes on...

A Word and some Super Frogs!

I'm sure by now everyone has heard of the One Little Word movement started by Ali Edwards. I thought I'd share my word for 2009- STRENGTH. Here is something I made to represent my choice(click on it to make it larger)-

Ok, not really super frogs.
A Super Cape made with super cute frog material.
I made this cape for my nephew for Christmas-

Forgive the photo. I couldn't find anywhere to hang it so I could get a good picture of it. So it ended up on my giant magnet board. :)

It's made of this super cute flannel with these frogs-

Stinkin' cute, right?!

Now we have 3 Super Boys on our street. Watch out bad guys! :)
