Bwahahaha! I seriously love this image SO much! It's from Bugaboo Stamps, it's a digi-image and I can't help but grin every time I see it. Her name's Stella and she's just thrilled to be celebrating another birthday, can't ya tell! :) Yes, I know, I'm a dork.

It's Friday! Who else is ready for the weekend? Owen and I have been miserable all week with allergies. So I'm hoping to load up on Benadryl and take a nap this weekend!

Belli Challenge #79

This weeks Belli Challenge is sponsored by Stretch N' Bubbles. Your challenge is to use chipboard on your project.

This cute penguin image is from Stretch N' Bubbles. His name is Earl. :o) I printed him off and colored him in with my Prismacolor markers.

Be sure to check out the Belli blog for all the details and gorgeous work by the girls! And go check out all the fun images at Stretch N' Bubbles. The keyword for this week is CBC79 if you upload to SCS or PCP.

On a more personal note, this is going to be my last card as a Belli Girl. Life is so crazy these days I just don't have time to be creative like I want to. I'm still going to try and play in the challenges when I have time though!

Thanks for stopping by, have a super day!

For Henry

As you may or may not know this has been a tough week. My friend Sarah Anderson lost her son to a virus that he was unable to recover from. Her sweet little Henry passed away Monday November 2, 2009. He was just 3 years old.

Lorie Ames has organized a memorial to honor Henry with trees to be planted at the zoo where he loved to visit nearly everyday in the summer. There are a couple different ways to donate. You can donate directly to the city by printing this form and sending it in with a note that the donation is for Sarah's son Henry Anderson. Also Melissa at Pink Cat Studios has created this adorable digital stamp just for Henry. All the proceeds from the sales(minus paypal costs) will go towards the trees to be planted for Henry.

If you have any questions please let me know or contact Lorie directly.

Also, Kim at Crafts By Kim is offering some blog candy in Henry's name. Check her blog for details.

I know that little Henry is in heaven(where I'm sure there is the coolest zoo ever!) and he is no longer ill. I pray that Sarah knows that as well. Please pray for Sarah and her family. Pray that they will be comforted and that they might know how much they are loved.

Hug your loved ones a little longer today.
My love to you all.

Belli Challenge #75- Sponsored by Shirley's 2 Girls

Hello there! It's time for another Belli Challenge! This weeks challenge is to use Halloween colored bling! We also have a fabulous sponsor this time- Shirley's 2 Girls!

I picked up these black rhinestones at Michael's forever ago. Finally used them! That's the great thing about the Belli Challenges, they're all about using the stash you already have. You can't tell in the picture but I went over various parts of the image with my clear glitter pen too. It looks pretty cool in real life, if I do say so myself!

Be sure to check out the Belli Blog for more great inspiration and all the challenge details! The keyword for this week is CBC75 if you upload to SCS or PCP.
Thanks for stopping by!

Sorry posting has been so light lately. Life is just crazy busy right now. Hopefully this weekend I'll get some crafty time in so I actually have something to share! Saturday is World Card Making Day, after all!

Final Week as Courtney's Guest Designer

Well, today's the last Friday in April. That means my final project as Courtney's Guest Designer. I decided I needed something to put the cards in that I've made with her buggie-digi-stamps.

So, how about a "Snail Mail Central"

I used part of a tutorial from Becky at Inking Idaho, covered it in K&Co paper, added some tags and you've got a place to keep all your mailing supplies! The cute snail is the digi-stamp Snail Mail at Sweet n' Sassy Stamps. I created a PhotoShop document the size of the front panel for the mini-magazine holders. Then I shrunk down the snail a tiny bit and then added another, flipped, to get the 2 of them facing each other. I added my own text, printed it out and it made the perfect front for the project.

This is what the back and sides look like-

There you go! I'm thinking it might make a cute gift. Or, it might be cute on MY desk! :)
Big thanks to Courtney for letting me play with your stamps!
And thanks to all of my readers for stopping by!

Caught A Bug?

It's Friday! Can I get a woo-hoo?! Ack, I'm glad for the week to be over. :)
Today is my 3rd week as Courtney's Guest Designer!
Here is my card using Courtney's digital stamp- Gone Buggy.

The patterned paper is SEI and the die cut is a Boss Kut die I got from Cut At Home. The cardstock and ribbon is SU! and I grabbed a button from my stash to put on the sentiment. Then I took some Making Memories pearl paint and painted the dragonfly's wings to make them shimmery. So head over to Sweet n' Sassy Stamps and check out all the digital stamps- they are fabulous!

Thanks for visiting! This is it for me until Monday. We're going to spend the last few days of Spring Break doing some fun family stuff!

Lady Bug

Here's my second card as Courtney's Guest Designer! This time I used the Little Lady digi-image. I added the red brad for a nose and I colored it in with my markers. The paper is Piggy Tales again and all the cardstock is SU. The ribbon is Offray- I'm loving this super skinny grosgrain at the moment! And those green dots are Candy Dots from Pebbles Inc. They are just so cute!

You guys ready for my announcement? Well, you know my friend Courtney? Shes got a super fun blog. And now she has her very own line of stamps at Sweet n' Sassy Stamps to boot! And she asked little ol' me to be her Guest Designer for April!

Can you believe it?! I'm super excited. And she's letting me play with her fabulous bug images! Here's my first card-

This adorable caterpillar looks fuzzy. Because he is! I covered him in green fun flock! And I had to add some googlie eyes. :) The paper is Piggy Tales and the cardstock is all SU.

I'll have a new project every Friday for the month featuring Courtney's cute bugs, so make sure you come back and see!

Have a fabulous Friday everyone! I'm off to the dentist(ick) but I'm hoping to squeeze in a trip to Joanns(wink)! Thanks for visiting!

LPS Challenge x2

Have you guys seen the super cute new digi images at Little Paper Shop? Oh.My.Gosh. Seriously adorable. Last Monday on their blog the challenge was to make a card using Tangerine Tango, Bashful Blue and Old Olive. I printed out this cute Katie on a Mushroom image and colored it in. And then life interrupted and it sat on my desk until yesterday. At which point I figured I'd check to see what this weeks challenge was and combine the two if possible. Well, wouldn't ya know- this weeks challenge is to use one of the digi images! Done and done! So here is my LPS Challenge x2 card.

The papers are all SU and the ribbon is PTI. I colored her in with my colored pencils and blended them. Sponged in some sky and ground and I was done! Then I promptly stuck this card in the mail to a friend who's been under the weather. It's not everyday I can say I actually made and sent a card! :)

CBCC #29- Inspired By Nature and Sweet n' Sassy!

Welcome to our first ever SPONSORED CBCCChallenge!
This weeks challenge is to be inspired by nature and is sponsored by Sweet n' Sassy Stamps! What does that mean? Well it means you need to make something inspired by nature and then link it back to Courtney's blog. And this weeks winner gets a free digital stamp image from Sweet n' Sassy! How cool is that?!

We chicks were all given this Luna Moth image drawn by the fabulous Chris Dickinson to work with this week(Thanks Korin!). You might be asking, what is so great about these digital images? Lots of things! You can resize them, you can print them as many times as you need/want and best of all? So easy on the bank account!

I have a confession. I'm slightly addicted to the digital images. I love regular stamping, don't get me wrong. But there is something satisfying for me to be able to print them in different sizes. And print them over and over again. Without trying to find my favorite ink pad on my messy desk. :)

Here's my card. I shrunk the image down a bit, then printed, colored and finished up the card.
I printed out the moth twice(ok, actually like 6 times. I need to pay better attention to my printer settings!) so I could layer it. And it's hard to see, but I went over the image with my clear Spica Glitter Pen so it's all sparkly. The sentiment is from PTI and the patterned paper is Basic Grey- Sultry(? I think?). The ruffled green ribbon is by Making Memories and it's so yummy! And in real life, the button actually does match. I don't know why it's so bright in this pic.

Now it's your turn! Go find some nature and be inspired by it, make a card or project, link it on Courtney's blog and be sure to use keyword CBCC29 if you upload to SCS or PCP. And then cross your fingers and you just might win yourself an awesome digital image! Be sure to check out what the other chicks have done too(links on my sidebar) for more inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

New Sketch On The Block

So the other day while blurfing, I stumbled upon a new sketch site. I love sketches. It's a sure fire way to get me out of my rut. Anyway, the site is Inspirational Card Sketches. And here's my card based on this weeks sketch-

The image is a digi image from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps. And it is drawn by none other than my friend Courtney! The paper is 3 Bugs In A Rug- seemed fitting. :)

Well, I'm off. No preschool this week so I'm trying to find things to occupy Owen. He sure is bossy when he's bored! LOL! Thanks for visiting, have a super day!
