Belli Challenge #79

This weeks Belli Challenge is sponsored by Stretch N' Bubbles. Your challenge is to use chipboard on your project.

This cute penguin image is from Stretch N' Bubbles. His name is Earl. :o) I printed him off and colored him in with my Prismacolor markers.

Be sure to check out the Belli blog for all the details and gorgeous work by the girls! And go check out all the fun images at Stretch N' Bubbles. The keyword for this week is CBC79 if you upload to SCS or PCP.

On a more personal note, this is going to be my last card as a Belli Girl. Life is so crazy these days I just don't have time to be creative like I want to. I'm still going to try and play in the challenges when I have time though!

Thanks for stopping by, have a super day!

CBCC #41

This weeks Created By Courtney Challenge is to make a card to beat the summer heat! Water, swimming, beach, etc.

I got this image as a RAK and thought Riley looked pretty cool catching his wave. ;) Some surfboard paper from Scenic Route plus a button finished up my card. I was going to make a sun out of buttons for Riley to be surfing under but I didn't have enough small yellow ones. :( Oh well. Seemed like a good idea at the time! LOL!

Be sure to check out what the other chicks have made. Their links are on the sidebar. This weeks keyword is CBCC41 if you upload to PCP or SCS.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

CBCC #40- Buttons!

This weeks challenge is all about using buttons! I have to say, I love me some buttons. I have collected quite the stash! I've had this idea in my head for some time now, to use buttons as the blooms on a flower. I figured this challenge was the perfect time to make it real!

I made a one layer card using stems from the My Cute Stamps- Spunky Nature Set and a sentiment from PTI- Green Thumb Set. The cardstock and ink are both PTI too. The ribbon is American Crafts.

I hope you will play along with us! The keyword for this challenge is CBCC40. Also be sure to check out what the other chicks have made for some extra inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by, hope your day is wonderful!

CBCC #39- Color Challenge!

The Created By Courtney Challenge is back! This week your challenge is to make something using the colors Ruby Red, Old Olive, More Mustard and Perfect Plum.

I decided to go easy and let my paper do all the work for me!

The paper is all from Imaginisce(it's retired now). I sanded it and distressed all the edges. Here is a close up of all the edges. Can I just tell you how covered I was in little bits of paper fuzz?!

The sentiment is from Verve. The layout is the Viva la Verve sketch for the second week of June. I'm hoping to do all the sketches for June, but we'll have to see. :)

Make sure you check out the other chicks creations. Their links are on my sidebar. On the left side. This weeks keyword is CBCC39. And sadly we say goodbye to one of our chicks- Maria G. :( We'll miss ya girl!

Alright, I'm outta here! Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

CBCC #37 May Flowers

This weeks challenge is to use flowers!

I figured I'd go ahead and use the colors from last week since I never got around to doing a card. The sentiment is from Verve- Beautiful You. The cardstock is all SU! and the shape is a Quickutz die. Punched some flowers, cut some leaves and I was done!

This weeks keyword is CBCC37 if you upload to SCS or PCP. Be sure to link back to Courtney's blog for a chance to win a prize. And make sure you check out the other chicks creations!

CBCC #36 Color Challenge

This week is a color challenge!
I don't have a card made.
But I did make the blinkie for this weeks challenge.
So, we'll just count that as my project!
No really, I'll try and get something done later this week.
In the meantime check out the other chicks, they are amazing.
Use keyword CBCC36 if you upload to SCS or PCP.
Don't forget to link back to Courtney's blog.
Have a super day!

CBCC #35- Use that brayer!

This weeks challenge is to use your brayer. Uh. Well. I had to go buy one. Can you believe I've never actually used a brayer before? So here's my first attempt at it-

Papers are all SU! and the grass image is from the Sweet n' Sassy set- Dream Silhouettes. I inked the grass in Versamark and then embossed it. Then I took my brandy-new brayer and went over it all in Basic Gray ink. Punched out some butterflies with my Martha punch, added some ribbon and that was it!

Go check out what the other chicks have done with their brayers(links on the sidebar)! This weeks keyword is CBCC35 if you upload to SCS or PCP. And make sure to link back to Courtney's blog with your brayer creation for a chance to win a little prize.

CBCC #34- Inspiration

This weeks challenge is to be inspired by TOYS! Your kids toys, neighbors, nieces or nephews, brothers or sisters, any toys you find inspiring!

Owen has this little hedgehog we got at Ikea. He loves it. Sleeps with it every night. It's what he asks for when he's tired, hurt, sad, etc. He named it Hedgie the Hedgehog. Original, eh? :) Anyway, when I saw the Little Forest Friends set from My Cute Stamps, I had to get it! Not just because it's cute, but also because of the little hedgie.

The patterned paper is Imaginisce- Twitterpated. The cardstock is all SU! and the ribbon is PTI. I think the button is My Minds Eye, but I'm not totally sure. :)

Now go check out what the other chicks have created, the links are on my sidebar. And be sure to link back to Courtney's blog if you play with us, for a chance to win a little prize!

And just a side note- I am SO far behind on blog hopping. So, I apologize. I'm not ignoring anyone, just haven't had 5 minutes to sit down and look! Forgive me, I'll be there soon! :)

CBCC #33 And A Winner!

This weeks challenge is to use a tab off the top of a soda can. This had me stumped. Really stumped. Finally late, late last night, I made this-

The paper is Dream Street- Rock-n-Roll(retired) and the image is from a Studio G set I got last year. And I hand wrote the sentiment. :) Go check out what the other chicks have done! The links are on my side bar. And if you make something using soda can tabs, be sure to link it back to Courtney's blog and use keyword CBCC33 if you upload to SCS or PCP.

And now you all are probably wondering who gets the cute drink packet holder from last week, right? I used Random.Adam.And.Owen to get the winner(meaning I printed out all the comments and had the boys pick!). And it is-

Alex!

Email with your address and I'll get it in the mail. :)

Thanks for visiting today, have a terrific Tuesday!

CBCC #32- Altered Box

***This post will stay at the top of my blog until Tuesday 4/7! Scroll down to see new posts!***

This week, your challenge is to alter something!
Courtney sent us all some boxes to alter for this weeks challenge.
I turned mine into a drink packet holder.

I love these little drink packets! They are awesome when you are tired of plain old water but don't want a soda. :) The paper is American Crafts and the fruit stamp is SU! Tart and Tangy.

Go check out what the other chicks made(links on my sidebar) and make sure to link back to Courtney's blog with your project for a chance to win a little prize from her. This weeks keyword is CBCC32 if you upload to SCS or PCP.

Now, how would you like a drink packet holder of your very own? I'm going to give this little box filled with drink packets to one of YOU! What do you have to do? Well, not much. Just leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite drink is. If you make an altered project and link it over at Courtney's blog, I'll put your name in twice. So, here's your instructions-
  1. Leave me a comment. Tell me your favorite drink. (earns you 1 entry.)
  2. Go check out what the other chicks made. Leave them some love.
  3. Make cool altered project.
  4. Link that project on Courtney's blog.
  5. Come back and tell me you participated. (Optional and earns you 2 entries.)
  6. Cross your fingers!
I'll announce the winner with next weeks Created By Courtney Challenge!
Good luck!

***Drawing is closed! Thanks for commenting!***

CBCC #31- Kinda-sorta

Here's the cute blinkie again. That probably sounds conceited since I made it. But I still think it's cute. :)

And here is my card that we are going to pretend has all the colors for the challenge.

Um, yeah. So I sat down to do my card and realized I don't have any Sage, Lavender or Ballet Blue anything. Oops. I've been so preoccupied with family stuff, I didn't even think to look! So, we're going to pretend the blue paper is Ballet Blue, the purple on the eggs and flowers is Lavender Lace and the green ribbon is Sage Shadow. Sound good? Alrighty then.

CBCC #30- Sketch Challenge & St. Patrick's Day

Hey kids! Happy St. Patrick's Day! Did ya miss me? Sorry to be absent from the blog world for so long. My mojo took a bit of a vacation and life got busy. But it's challenge time again! This weeks challenge is to make a card using this sketch-

Here is my card-

I used paper from Pebbles Inc and the stamps are CHF Kim Hughes- Little Guy. The stars are American Crafts chipboard and I got the green ric-rac at Walmart.

Go check out what the other chicks did- links are on the sidebar! Then make a card and link it up to Courtney's blog. Be sure to use keyword CBCC30 if you upload to SCS or PCP.

And here's a little St. Patrick's card. Are you wearing your green today? :)

The stamps are Studio G stamps I picked up at the LSS. Easy peasy.

Thanks for visiting, I should have more to post this week. :)
Have a super day!

CBCC #29- Inspired By Nature and Sweet n' Sassy!

Welcome to our first ever SPONSORED CBCCChallenge!
This weeks challenge is to be inspired by nature and is sponsored by Sweet n' Sassy Stamps! What does that mean? Well it means you need to make something inspired by nature and then link it back to Courtney's blog. And this weeks winner gets a free digital stamp image from Sweet n' Sassy! How cool is that?!

We chicks were all given this Luna Moth image drawn by the fabulous Chris Dickinson to work with this week(Thanks Korin!). You might be asking, what is so great about these digital images? Lots of things! You can resize them, you can print them as many times as you need/want and best of all? So easy on the bank account!

I have a confession. I'm slightly addicted to the digital images. I love regular stamping, don't get me wrong. But there is something satisfying for me to be able to print them in different sizes. And print them over and over again. Without trying to find my favorite ink pad on my messy desk. :)

Here's my card. I shrunk the image down a bit, then printed, colored and finished up the card.
I printed out the moth twice(ok, actually like 6 times. I need to pay better attention to my printer settings!) so I could layer it. And it's hard to see, but I went over the image with my clear Spica Glitter Pen so it's all sparkly. The sentiment is from PTI and the patterned paper is Basic Grey- Sultry(? I think?). The ruffled green ribbon is by Making Memories and it's so yummy! And in real life, the button actually does match. I don't know why it's so bright in this pic.

Now it's your turn! Go find some nature and be inspired by it, make a card or project, link it on Courtney's blog and be sure to use keyword CBCC29 if you upload to SCS or PCP. And then cross your fingers and you just might win yourself an awesome digital image! Be sure to check out what the other chicks have done too(links on my sidebar) for more inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!

CBCC #28- Bows!

Hey kids!
This weeks challenge is to use bows. Big bows, little bows, lots of bows...

Here is my card-

Everything is SU! except the white ribbon. That is from the Walmart, I think. It's super thin, maybe 1/8 inch. But it makes great bows on balloons. :)

Go check out the other chicks, the links are on my sidebar. This weeks keyword if you upload to SCS or PCP is CBCC28, and make sure you link back to Courtney's blog with your creation!

Thanks for visiting! Have a great day!

CBCC #27- Color Inspiration

This weeks challenge is a color challenge!

I'm not going to lie to you guys. This was definitely challenging for me. I suppose that would be why we call them challenges. ;)

Here's my first card. Ok, actually like my 3rd. But the first I'm willing to show.

I used the PTI Green Thumb set. All the cardstock is SU. Not my favorite card. But, it's a card. And it uses all three colors. Good enough.

Here's my next card-This time I used a SU set- Stemming From. I like this card a bit better. Still not totally sold on it though. Just to clarify, I'm not putting down my work in order to get compliments. I've really struggled lately to make anything I like. I think we all go through those stages. Maybe everyone isn't as upfront and whiney about it as I am, but hey- my blog=my whine. So tell me... how do you pull yourself out of a creative funk? I'm thinking some retail therapy might be in order...

Alright, now that you're done listening to me complain, go check out the other chicks creations. The links are on my side bar. The keyword this week is CBCC27 if you upload to SCS or PCP and be sure to link back to Courtney's blog with your creation. :)

Also I am woefully behind on my blog reading. So don't feel like you're not loved. It's just been a crazy couple days and I haven't had much time to blurf. Maybe I will get a chance to get caught up today. I promise I'll stop by soon. :)

Thanks for visiting. Have a Terrific Tuesday!

CBCC #26- Bubble Wrap

Hey kids! This weeks challenge is to stamp with bubble wrap! Hoo-boy! This one had me stumped. I've never stamped with bubble wrap. I had no clue what I wanted to do. Finally after much thought and even more failed attempts I ended up with this-

Still not my favorite card ever but, it sure is colorful. Right? Uh-huh. Sure it is. Whatever. Just go with it. :)

This week we welcome a new Chick to our challenges. Please go visit Risa Malieta W. and show her some love! And then go check out the other chicks creations. I'm sure they did a way better job than I did this week! :) The keyword for uploading this week is CBCC26 and make sure you link back to Courtney's blog with your creation!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm off to take boys to school and get groceries. I do that a lot, don't I?!

CBCC #25- Inspiration Challenge

Courtney sent us this image to use for inspiration for this weeks challenge-

And I instantly knew what I wanted to do!

I've had this paper from American Crafts for awhile now, just waiting for something cool to use it on. How about a birthday card for my DH? You see, his bday happens to be on Valentines day and he's a computer geek, so it was perfect! And yes, the paper is actually travel paper. But it works so well! Just pretend with me! :)

Now for some sad news. We are losing 3 of our Challenge Chicks this week. Actually 2 this week and 1 last week, but I forgot to post it. So we bid farewell to Sarah, Lorie and Chris. We love ya girls and wish you the very best!

That brings us to some other news- Courtney is going to start having "Guest Chicks"! Wanna be one? Let Courtney know by leaving her a comment on her blog. And while you're there link up your card for this weeks challenge. The keyword for SCS is CBCC25.
Thanks for stopping by, make sure you check out all the other chicks too!

CBCC #24- Manly Man Valentine

Sorry for the delay kids! Crazy, crazy morning here!
This week we were challenged to make a masculine valentine card.
Here is what I came up with-

The CS is SU Close To Cocoa and PTI Ocean Tides. The PP is KI Memories and the ribbon is PTI Summer Sunrise. I used my argyle Cuttlebug folder on the base, too. Oh, and the stamps are PTI too- Forest Friends.

I hope you will play with us this week, in the meantime go check out the other chicks- if you haven't already! The keyword for this week is CBCC24 and make sure you link back to Courtney's blog when you make your card!

Thanks for stopping by, gotta run. I got the groceries, but now have to put them all away. Sigh. Does anyone else hate that as much as I do?

CBCC #23- Color Challenge

This weeks challenge is to make something using Real Red, Pink Passion and Chocolate Chip. Such a yummy combo, it was so much fun!

Here is the card I made-
I used my Labels 1 nesties to make the shape of the card and all the layers. The cupcake and sentiment are Studio G stamps I picked up at my LSS and I used my SU polka-dot backgrounder on the white layer. The pink and red patterned paper is some old KI Memories I had in my stash.

If you upload to SCS the keyword this week is CBCC23, and make sure you link back to Courtney's blog if you play with us!

More inspiration is available from the rest of the "chicks" by clicking on their names on the sidebar under Challenge Chicks. They all do such a fabulous job, go leave them some love!

CBCC #22- Sketch Challenge

This weeks challenge is a sketch challenge! I love me some sketches! Here's the sketch-
And here's my card-

The cardstock is PTI(Aqua Mist and Vintage Cream) and the patterned paper is October Afternoon. I took some tiny slivers of the Aqua Mist CS and ran it through the buttons. Kind of a pain, but not too bad. And it saved me a trip to the store trying to find thread/floss/ribbon that would match.

Go check out the other "chicks". Then when you make your card(because you know you want to!) link back to Courtney's blog and use CBCC22 for a keyword if uploading to SCS.

Did you know that ear infections are not contagious? At least that is what the Dr tells me. I however beg to differ. Because now I have one too. And I'm totally blaming it on Owen. OK, not really. But still... Arg! ;)

Have a great day everyone!
