Hee hee hee! Find those beloved stamps from last year or the year before that you absolutely adore and show them some love.

I pulled out this library card stamp. It's from the very first Stampin' Up set I ordered. I want to say that was... 4 or 5 years ago! I can't even remember the last time I used it. :)

Head over to the Belli blog and see what the rest of the girls did. And be sure to link up if you make a new project to participate, we'd love to see it!

Belli Challenge #94

This weeks Belli Challenge is a sketch challenge with patriotic element.

Unfortunately I spent my weekend with a little boy who had the stomach flu. Add that to my DH piling all his tools in front of the door to my crafty room and you have a Dani Gets un-Crafty. Sigh.

Here's the sketch and be sure to head over to the Belli blog and check out the gorgeous samples.

Belli Challenge 92

This weeks Belli Challenge is to make a card using this sketch-

And only flat embellishments! That means no bows, knots in your ribbon, pearls, bling, buttons, etc. So what can you use? Use stickers, flat ribbon, border punches... anything flat! And remember to use up some of that old stash(how many of us have old stickers laying around?) because that's the whole point of the Belli Challenge- to use up that stuff we just *had* to have and never used!

Here's my card-
I used my Fiskars border punch that I *had* to have when it first came out and I think I've used it maybe 3 times! And that brown and aqua ribbon? Oh my, it's at least 3 years old. I've been hoarding it for that long. I don't even remember where I bought it! Sigh.

The stamps I used are from the new {ippity} release. You can view them {here} along with ordering info- if you'd like. :)

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check out all the wonderful creations by the other Belli girls!

Belli Challenge #78

It's time for another Belli Challenge! And we are being sponsored again by Terry at Creative Cuts and More! Woo-hoo! This time your challenge is to use Christmas themed embellishments on your creation.

I got to use the gingerbread die cut in felt. Cute! I dressed him up a bit using some tiny pearls for eyes, candy dots(not real candy!) for buttons and a cardstock smile. The ribbon is Making Memories and I've been hoarding it for 3 years now. And I'm still hoarding it. I can only make myself use one section at a time! Crazy. And in real life my card looks all balanced and evenly spaced. I think the shadows are making it look weird in the picture. Dang. Oh well.

Now go check out what the other Belli girls have made! And if you join us in the challenge this time, your keyword is CBC78 for uploading to SCS or PCP.

For my card I used the 5 1/4" Square Window Card for a base. Then I broke down and finally cut into my beloved Basic Grey Mellow paper(how many years have I had this?!). Then a cream layer with my sentiment and a gorgeous Oak Leaf die cut in Wine colored Velvet Paper. Oh my. This leaf die cut just screams to be touched! Finally a bit of twine tied my layers together.

Look, I even decorated the inside! Go me! :o)

Belli Challenge #75- Sponsored by Shirley's 2 Girls

Hello there! It's time for another Belli Challenge! This weeks challenge is to use Halloween colored bling! We also have a fabulous sponsor this time- Shirley's 2 Girls!

I picked up these black rhinestones at Michael's forever ago. Finally used them! That's the great thing about the Belli Challenges, they're all about using the stash you already have. You can't tell in the picture but I went over various parts of the image with my clear glitter pen too. It looks pretty cool in real life, if I do say so myself!

Be sure to check out the Belli Blog for more great inspiration and all the challenge details! The keyword for this week is CBC75 if you upload to SCS or PCP.

Belli Challenge #74- Sponsored by Creative Cuts and More

This weeks Belli Challenge is sponsored by Creative Cuts and More! Have you checked out their stuff? OMGosh! So much die-cut-goodness! The challenge is to make something Fall/Halloween themed.

I 'm always looking for Halloween ideas that are not candy. I know, I know. Halloween is all about the candy. :) Anyway... I stole- er... um... borrowed this idea from Courtney.

I used a Crayon Box die cut and decorated the outside of it. Inside is a couple crayons and some fun Halloween images to color. I stamped the images on some white scraps and trimmed them all the same size. Easy and guaranteed not to give you a sugar headache.

I also got this cool pumpkin tacky tape die cut. The die cut is all one piece but I wanted a bit of dimension. So I took off the top liner and cut it up to make the lines and stem of the pumpkin. Stuck the paper back on the tape and glittered away! Then I removed the paper again and used green glitter to fill in the rest. I stuck it to the top of a tin I've been hoarding forever, added some ribbon, stamped some leaves, filled it with candy and I was done! Makes a cute little treat, if I do say so myself!

All the challenge deets and more gorgeous die cut examples can be found on The Creative Belli Blog. The keyword if you upload to SCS or PCP is CBC74.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a super day!

Belli Challenge #73- Back to School

This weeks challenge is to make a back to school themed project using apples or pencils.

I decided to make a little note card in the shape of a pencil. I took a 3x6 card base and rounded the corners on one side and on the other side I trimmed the edge to a point. Pink cardstock for the eraser, yellow for the main pencil part, kraft for the wood, black for the lead. Then I added some light gray ribbon to make the band that holds the eraser to the pencil. I used my VersaMarker to make the lines and pinking sheers to cut the end of the yellow cardstock. Stamped the sentiment and I was done! I know it sounds like a lot of steps, but it was really pretty easy. I think a bunch of these would make a fun teacher gift!

I hope you'll play along with us! Be sure to check out the other girls creations at The Belli Blog and if you're uploading to SCS or PCP the keyword is CBC73.

Belli Challenge #72- Sponsored by Peachy Keen!

Welcome to this weeks Belli Challenge! We have an awesome sponsor this week- Peachy Keen Stamps! They have some super cute images, be sure to check them out! Your challenge is to use water based markers to color in an image this time. That means no Copics, Prismacolor Markers, etc!I used the Sleeping Teddy image and colored it in with regular ol' watercolors. As in the 97 cent kind your kids use. I didn't have any water based markers. Apparently someone got rid of them while in some sort of cleaning/purging frenzy. Or something. :)

Anyway, the sentiment is from PTI, the paper is from a DCWV stack and I used my nesties to cut out the main image. If you have any questions, let me know!

Now be sure you've gone and drooled over all the awesome work created by the other Belli girls this week, they have totally rocked the challenge! Thanks for stopping by, have a super day!

***ETA*** I'm such a dork! I forgot some very important info! The keyword this time is CBC72 if you upload to SCS or PCP. And you're going to want to make sure you participate because Kathy at Peachy Keen is going to give a $25 gift certificate to one lucky winner! Wa-hoo!!! Now, go color!

Belli Challenge #71

Finally posting... sorry for the delay. My computer is having trauma and we're in the process of backing everything up and switching it over to another one. Sigh.

This weeks Belli Challenge is to use wood! Woodgrain paper or stamps, faux wood techniques, actual wood, etc. Have fun with it and think outside the box!

Here is my card, I chose to use a twig off our willow tree in the backyard. I made it into a fishing pole. The scene was drawn by little ol' me and colored in with my Prismacolor markers. The sentiment is from PTI.

I hope you'll play along with us and remember to use keywork CBC71 if you upload to SCS or PCP. Thanks for stopping by, have a super day!

Belli Challenge #70

It's time for another Belli Challenge! This week your challenge is to use metal tags. Come on, I know you've got some laying around somewhere!

I punched some paper from the Basic Grey Recess pad and stuck inside my metal tags. Popped them up on more paper from the Recess pad, added some black twine and stamped the "graduation" on the paper randomly. I also smooshed my tag rims on my StazOn pad to make them a little less shiny.

I've been in kind of a rut lately so I was trying to step out of my comfort zone and make a masculine/not cutesy grad card. Not sure I accomplished it, but hey, it's something different at least!

Be sure to check out the Belli Blog for all the other awesome creations. The keyword for this challenge is CBC70 if you upload to SCS or PCP.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful Wednesday!

Belli Challenge #69- Texture!

***Warning! This is a long post! Feel free to just look at the pictures and skip over my rambling!***

So this weeks Belli Challenge is to use some texture on your card. Flock, flower soft, mesh, etc. Sound pretty simple, huh? Here's my card. And then I'll tell you about my adventures making it.

OH MYLANTA!!! This card was certainly a challenge(that's a nice way of putting it)! First I had to find a stamp suitable for flocking. In all the stamps I own, it was ridiculously hard to find one that would work for flock- without using an entire bottle of glue in the process. Finally I settled on this tree image from Stampin' Up! I stamped it in Chocolate Chip in and then went over the leaves with my glue pen and covered it in flock. And in the process ended up spilling the green flock everywhere! It was all over my desk, in my hair, up my nose(ewww!), covering my clothes... you get the point. Everywhere.

Then I had to figure out a way to cut the darned thing out. Because I wasn't smart enough to cut it out before I started flocking. And I should have been smart enough because Holly had the same issue and warned us all, LOL! So I'm sitting there staring at the tree trying to think of a way to cut it out without smushing all the fuzz. Then it dawns on me, use a frame! So I dig out my chipboard stash and start looking for a frame. Finally find one I like. Decide to sponge some color on it in hopes I won't make a bigger mess trying to cover it in paint or paper or something. Wrong. Somehow I managed to get ink all over my desk and hands. Arg. By this time I'm ready to throw the whole thing out and start over.

But I persevered and went on to pick out some patterned paper. I pull out my crate of small paper pads and start flipping through them. While doing so, an earwig crawled out of a Basic Grey pad and ran across my desk(double ewww!!!)! Are you freaking kidding me?!? I hate earwigs. HATE them! So I killed it(ewww again) and picked out this stripey paper from the BG Mellow pad. Finally I got the whole thing put together. Ugh.

Here is a close up of all the texture I worked so hard for and had to kill a bug for(ewww).

So, there you have it. My adventures in texture. Sigh. This may be the last thing I flock for a while... :)

Belli Challenge #68!

This weeks Belli Challenge is to make something with a Patriotic Theme!

I got this super cute bee image from my friend, Lynn, and thought it was perfect for this challenge! The plaid paper is from a DCWV stack while the ribbon, sentiment and card base are all PTI. I colored the bee in with my Prisma markers and highlighted the wings, antennas and flag with glitter pens, but that's kind of hard to see in the pic. And the colors might look a little off because I'm still trying to figure out my new light tent. :)

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check out the other Belli Girls. I've listed their links over on the side bar!

And in other news, it's official. Owen has another ear infection. This is the 3rd one since May 1st. I have to take him back next week to make sure the infection is indeed cleared up and then we're off to find an ENT specialist. I swear this kid is all about the specialists! :)

Belli Challenge #67- Fathers Day Card

Oh my word! It's been an entire week since I posted anything! Ack! I've been a crafty slacker. But I'm back! :)

This weeks Belli Challenge was to make a Father's Day card using the sketch provided. I immediately knew what I wanted to do! I love it when that happens!

The image and sentiment are from Sweet n' Sassy Stamps- Cool Dude set, I colored it in with my Prisma markers. The patterned paper and ribbon is American Crafts from the Travel line(wishing I had picked up more of it too!), I'm pretty sure the star is AC as well.

Tomorrow marks the return of the Created By Courtney Challenges. We took a bit of a break but start again with a color challenge! Also, I've changed things up on the ol' blog. Let me know what you think! It's all Lorie's fault. She had to go and get hers all pretty! ;)

Have a great day, thanks for stopping by!
