I love the boy stamps that Papertrey Ink has. This little rocket is too cute. I used the Sweet Sunday sketch #151 and came up with this simple encouragement card. The stamps and cardstock are PTI and the patterned paper is the Bo Bunny Blast Off collection.

typewriter birthday

I placed a Stampin' Up order a while ago. Got to play with some of my new goodies. :)

Made a birthday card with this awesome typewriter image. I love the vintagey feel. Everything on this card is Stampin' Up, I have to admit that sometimes I love it when it's all color coordinated for me and I don't have to think about what to use. :)

Here's a quick birthday card I made. I ordered a pack of this Imaginisce Birthday Bash paper so I'll be making lots more birthday cards! :)

Short and sweet for now, I'm up to my ears in Christmas plans and crafting. I promise myself every year that I'll be better prepared and every year I'm still doing things at the very last minute!

Thankful Thoughts...

I want to make sure my friends and family know how much I love them and how thankful I am to have them in my life.

So far this year has been a very eventful one. Long story short- I wasn't even sure if I still had it in me to be crafty. But, I'm working my way back into the crafty world bit by bit. Starting with this little card here. :) I'm not going to promise I'll be posting all the time. But I am going to do my best to post when I get something made.

So... we're mostly moved finally. It's such a long process. We have a ridiculous amount of stuff. Ridiculous, I say. One of our new neighbors brought us a meal last weekend. Creme Brulee French Toast! Oh.My.Word. It was delicious. To die for. I'll just take the pan and a fork, thank you very much. :)

After I got the pan washed up I figured I'd whip up a quick Thank You card to take over. It was so nice to get out some paper and play!


The patterned paper is Doodlebug. The sentiment rub-on is from Pebbles Inc. The button and ribbon came out of my stash. Sorry for the poor photo, I had to use my cellphone. My camera is still packed in a box somewhere. Sigh. So much left to do!

The Lorie-Dani Project #5

It's time for another Lorie-Dani Project! Remember, this is where my friend Lorie and I give each other challenges in order to keep us creating? Fun stuff! This week was Lorie's turn to choose and her challenge was to make a card using a Cuttlebug type embossed background.

So I pulled out my Bug and got to work. This came together pretty quickly. I cut the patterned paper down to size and then embossed it with the Friends Forever folder. Used my trusty sanding block to distress it. Tied on some white wrinkle ribbon. Popped up my panel with some dimensionals and called it good.

Now here's a picture of my craft table when I sat down to make my card last night.

Um, yeah. It's a disaster. I cleared about 8 inches off to work on and left everything else as is. I have got to find the top of that table! And soon!

The Lorie-Dani Project #4

Its time for another Lorie-Dani project! This time it was my turn to pick the challenge and I decided we should make a birthday card using a favorite color(s). I think I might have mentioned before that orange and green are 2 of my favorite colors. :)



This is the card I ended up with. I wish now I had used a darker ink so it showed better. But, it's done and whoever gets it will never know(unless they read my blog!). Now go check out Lorie's card. I just know she has something wonderful up her sleeve!

It's Friday! Tomorrow is Girls Night Out with my sister, cousin and our favorite family friend! Woo-hoo! Sorry, I'm a wee bit excited to go out and have fun. :)

I love this little birthday calendar stamp. I punched the border with a SU! punch to give it a kind of school vibe. Kind of? Sort of? Maybe? Or not. Whatever. :)

I still say masculine cards can have ribbon on them. Just keep it simple. No frills or bows.
It's a 3x6 card. I like this size for lots of reasons- perfect size for money(yay!), you can get 4 cards out of a 12x12 piece of cardstock, and..... um.... I'm sure there's more reasons. I just can't think of them right now.

Here's a fancy-schmancy card using {ippity} set Regal Greetings(which can be purchased by clicking on the {ippity} tab at the top of the page. :) ). I used some yummy MME patterned paper and ivory wrinkled ribbon. Thought this would make a good wedding card. :)

Here is a masculine(even if it has ribbon) card using a stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms. I'm so sad that they closed! But at least I still have my stamps to play with. :) I bought the jute/burlap ribbon stuff from Reasonable Ribbon. They have a pretty wide variety of styles. They even have Divine Twine now! I may have to get some... who cares if I haven't used what I already have? Pfffttt!

The Lorie-Dani Project #3

This week Lorie challenged us to make something without using patterned paper. Oh, the pain! The agony! Patterned paper is my favorite thing to use!


Well, I managed to get over it. :) This card is 3x6 inches and the images are from the Stampin' Up! set Aviary. The ribbons and button were just in my stash. And that stuff threaded through the button? Why, that's Divine Twine. I'm seriously in love with it and bought a couple yards of all the colors at my LSS. Oh how I wish I could afford full spools in every color! They just make me grin! (Yes, I know. I'm a dork.) :)
