Here is a birthday card I made for my step-dad. His birthday was last week. But he was out of town and I didn't want to mail it until I knew he was home. Yeah. We're going with that. Because I definitely did not forget.
I started with the plan of using a PageMaps sketch, but veered in a different direction. PageMaps is always good for ideas though.
Now for the Owen Card-
This morning Owen came and sat on my lap while I was at the computer and asked if he could "stamp-ah sum-ting" He picked a cupcake stamp. Here he is inking it up-
And now the stamping-
He also picked out all his own embellishments and cut out the cupcake by himself.
And no, the card is not sideways. He was very specific that the cupcake was on its side. He's talented, don't you think?
This week is Teacher Appreciation week. I am finishing up a "lil' sumpin" for Adams teacher. I will post it tomorrow. But for now, I am going to go lay on the couch for a minute and try not to throw up. Why, you ask? Well because I am so freaking brilliant that I just hammered the soft part of my hand between my pointer finger and my thumb. It looks really pretty. And I'm slightly lightheaded now. Ooooo, it's swelling now too. Ice! Tylenol! Chocolate! I will survive!
I hope. :)

I agree. I would NEVER mail a card to someone I knew was not home. It's just not safe. :)
And, Owen, what a super fantabulous card! (I like yours more than mommy's) Shhhhh... don't tell her!
HUGS!!!
QUESTION: What day would you have had the card arrive? The 29th or the 30th? HEHE! you could of ripped it in half and mailed each half on each day! My mom was going to call him and sing him happy birthday part one on the 29th and part 2 on the 30th!
Ummm...of course you shouldn't mail it if he won't be home I mean seriously how unsafe would that be. Bordering on negligent I'd say!
Owen my friend...that is a fantabulous card...great job!
